chick<8000clicks>chick: Fall

Year after year I fall in love with fall. Although this year it feels more like summer with temperatures hovering near +38C, the crisp morning air brings me instant energy. The leaves have finally started to turn and I’m delighted every time I see a tree full of fuzzy chestnuts.

Outono ~ Fall

Outono ~ Fall

This week’s heavy rains signal the beginning of the wet months (ooh, guttering on the house really would be a good idea) but I’m hopeful we’ll be basking in the October sunshine for a few more weeks. I’m a bit late with chick<8000clicks>chick but in case you hadn’t guessed, the theme this week is fall (autumn for those who speak English, according to DaddyP). I’m discovering chestnuts on the left while djbeat is snuggling a little longer in bed on the right.

PS: Obrigadinha to fellow chick djbeat, fellow Canadian Stinkypaw,  and fellow cocktail connoisseur daisyfae for their comments on Pass Slipped Stitch Over and muito muito obrigada to all the loverly people who hearted my Etsy shop!

even though i’m inside a warm “climate controlled” home, i have the most awful time getting out of bed in the fall. it’s still dark at 6am, and i can SEE the chill in the air outside. well, that’s what i tell myself… favorite time of year, though. makes me wish i had a chestnut tree nearby…

Yep, hate making coffee in the dark but I console myself that Happy Hour seems much more civilized if the sun is already setting …

For some reason I’m thinking it’s colder here and also redder!

i was watching my uncle play in a match tonight at the World Handball Championships. (the V-man lost both his matches this week) …and this Canadian (Albertan?) came up & started talking to me. Incredibly boring lot…canadian men…but HEY!…a man talked to me. :)

ps: October is my FAVOURITE month!
