Not long ago I was sitting on a sunny patio in Yaletown with djbeat, swilling overpriced martinis and laughing at the foolish businessmen chasing tiny women in tiny skirts. We dined in fabulous restaurants, drank too much champagne and danced until we could dance no more. We were single, we were hilarious … and we were hot. If anyone had told me then that I would end up living with a handsome surfer in the hills of Portugal wearing sensible shoes, worrying about a nine-year-old’s taste buds and planting vegetables I would have laughed and promptly ordered another crantini.
This week we put our chick<8000clicks>chick imaginations to the test with this quote:

Funny where life brings us, isn’t it? One big trip, that’s for sure!

If anyone had told me way back where I would end up… not that I’ve ended yet I might add, or what adventures I would have a long the way I would have told them you’re having a laugh, little old me, no! I’m so glad no one tried to predict my future, I might have listened.
It’s been an amazing ride so far. Some incredible ups and some terrifying downs but for this moment I just couldn’t be any more grateful. Je ne regrette rien!
considering i was voted ‘most likely to be found dead in a gutter’ in the high school poll, i’m often amazed at where i’ve been…
you’re either growing or your dying, and clearly you and djbeat are growing!

I hope you kept at least 5 pairs of stilettos…even if you only wear them in the kitchen.
Kitchen stilettos in transit … finally getting the rest of my stuff shipped over! And NO, I will never get used to wearing sensible shoes …
