This may be the last weekend of summer but there’s no end in sight for the hot Portuguese sunshine. I’m constantly looking for creative ways to cool off but so far nothing beats a refreshing glass of vinho verde lemonade or a cold shower.

hard to believe that next weekend is our big ‘labor day’ three day weekend end of summer thing. i’ve done nothing but rehearse, rehearse and rehearse some more… and that’s what it looks like for the next three weeks… oy…

We’re getting ready for our holiday in west Wales in a couple of weeks time. As far as we’re concerned, summer can be extended until at least the end of September!

Last day indulgences?
1) sneaking off to get a plain cone at DQ;
2) discovered a new drink! the Bramble – gin, tall, fresh lime juice, blackberry liqueur and a splash of 7-up;
3)thinking about cashmere cardigans … I love fall.
