I needed a little hocuspocus today and, in spite of the rain, I found some. Another Shutter Sisters assignment urged me to find magic just outside the kitchen window.
Do not wait for perfect light. Just go.
So I didn’t wait for the rain to stop, I didn’t even wait to finish my glass of wine. Instead I found a tiny, magical world inside each rain drop.
So what’s outside your window right now?
.

Nice! I can almost feel the air and smell the wet grass, well done!
A little much-needed rain to cool us off!
beautiful ‘grab the moment’ message…
outside my window (patio doors)? a jungle of trees past the deck, two stubborn hibiscus trees refusing to bloom until i water them again, some daisies and other bright annuals. and an unexpected pack of butterflies. they seem to be casing the joint. i’ll be right back….
I adore stubborn hibiscus, they deserve water! Or at least a cocktail …
More work than an old man should have to contemplate ……. luckily I’m young.
Bumped into Tiggz at the supermarket today – he’s still alive and the neighbour from hell has moved … [this message brought to you via the DP much slower than instant messaging service]
Fantastic, is the DP available as an iPhone app?
Hmm, the photographic equivalent of the Pensieve. Dumbledore knows a thing or two.
Good job you recorded those raindrops – the forecast for your neck of the woods is sun and 35degs by Sunday.
I’m afraid I am HP challenged, I had to google Dumbledore …
The heat has brought the most fantastic thunderstorms! The skies opened up yesterday for a fantastic torrential rainfall, perfect for catching raindrops on our tongues
Apple trees. Lots of apple trees…
Appleiscious! Does this mean a summer filled with apple pie, apple crumble, apple soup and apple schnapps?
If you squint really hard you can see me in the left hand drop on the sofa watching TV.
Naked.
I wonder how many people have done the squinting thing………….. some people like living on the edge!
Squinting gives me wrinkles … x
The TV is naked!!!!! ……. how shocking ….
Not nearly as shocking as the outfit it was wearing earlier this morning …
