When we moved to Cabril it was a shock to discover that our Internet connection was slower than molasses. Skype is out of the question and waiting for any graphics-heavy page to load is excruciating. YouTube is now verboten. My frustration soon grew to new levels and I began to avoid my “vintage” computer altogether.
Then suddenly I had a eureka ADD moment. Waiting didn’t have to be painful; it was an opportunity to multi-task!
So I picked up my knitting needles and now I’m hooked. I’d almost forgotten how incredibly therapeutic knitting can be. It’s been years since I filled my head with K2tog, PSSO, CB4, FC, RT and K1P1 but reading the patterns was like speaking my first language, slightly rusty but never forgotten. My tiny stash is growing, a treasure of sensuous colours and fibres. Instead of growing impatient while megabytes make their way to my monitor, I’m getting ready for winter with soft fingerless gloves, luxurious alpaca scarves and warm, woolly hats.
I’ve also rediscovered Etsy, a wonderful place to find the most creative handmade stuff. If you haven’t already, take some time to explore. And if you like what you see please take a moment to *heart* my shop (www.tangonovemberbravo.com). As a new Etsy Seller I need all the help and hearts I can get!

Love Etsy, so many cute things to find.
On my way to see your shop. Keep it up!
I’m constantly amazed and inspired by what I find on Etsy, it’s fantastic!
my daughter and a friend have an etsy shop – and she has made me promise to only buy decorative items for my home there, or from individual craftsmen/women.
love the baby alpaca fingerless gloves… hmmmm….
What’s your daughter’s Etsy name? I love discovering new shops! That baby alpaca silk is the softest fibre I’ve ever knitted — truly glorious!
good question! it used to be ‘make lemonade’ (or maybe it was one word), but they are re-vamping things… will see if i can find them again!
